Fed up with not being able to eat? Fed up with losing confidence when smiling or eating in public? Fed up with loose dentures? Then Kent Smile Studio may have a solution for you!
This solution is ideal for those who have most or all their teeth missing or failing. Many patients come to us as they are fed up with their loose or missing teeth and intolerable dentures. They are unable to eat with comfort or smile with confidence.
At Kent Smile Studio, our experienced and qualified implant surgeons can offer a solution.
The All on 4 /6 implants uses 4-6 implants in a jaw to replace all the missing/loose teeth in the affected jaw. The implants are angled such that they avoid important structures such as nerves in the lower jaw and sinuses in the upper jaw, which avoids the need for bone grafting procedures. So, if you have been told in the past that you cannot have dental implants due to a lack of bone, the All-on-4/6 solution may be for you.

You will need to look after your mouth following surgical treatment. This will be covered by the instructions that are given to you, specifically relating to the procedure that you have carried out. Nevertheless, after surgery, a certain number of review appointments will be required. These are as follows:
Most importantly, during this period, we will depend upon you to update us on how things are progressing. In the event of any concern, we will require you to contact the surgeon.
We shall need to see you on an annual basis to review the implant treatment, remove the bridge, clean the implants, and refit the bridge. We would also monitor the implant performance and take any necessary X-rays. Oral cancer screening will also be performed. We would require you to visit the hygienist at the review appointment.
The initial cost of dental implants abroad such as in Turkey and Budapest can be lower. But Dental Implants are not “fit and forget”, there is regular maintenance needed to ensure the maximum longevity of your treatment. These steps are not usually performed, and shortcuts can be made to accommodate your travel plans which are not how surgical treatment should be carried out.
Often cheaper dental implants are used, which have been less extensively researched, so the risk of complications can be higher and long-term successes are reduced. Dentistry in the UK is highly regulated and the equipment and dental implants we use must conform to a standard. We only use branded implants that have more than 15 years of available data for your own peace of mind.
We have had patients who have had treatment abroad and are not satisfied with the end results. This is mostly due to communication and language barriers, and the patient has not fully understood what is going on. The cost of returning to the country would make the treatment for them more expensive in the long term.
Often the cost of remedial treatment when you have had dental implants abroad is vastly greater than if you have had them in the UK. We have a team of highly experienced clinicians and technicians with over 20 years of experience. Should anything not go to plan, patients are able to return to us with ease.
